BRIAN MUNOZ PHOTOGRAPHY

City of San Diego

Brian has an impressive collections of photographs - first starting in the late 60s, his works have been displayed in some of the nations top businesses, like La Jolla's famed Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Most of Brian's photos are of La Jolla Cove Huge WavesLeavenwoth, Washington, La Jolla, Yosemite National Park, and San Diego.

Born and raised in La Jolla, California, his early years consisted of taking photos of the beach crowd, particularly those jumping off the clam and deadmans, a practice that was reserved for the daring and one that has been illegal since the mid-1980s.

Many of his big wave photos are displayed in surf shops world-wide like the one you see to the left of a huge day back in Feb, 1986 at La Jolla Cove and Casa Pool whose cliffs were covered with spectators watching these big waves (25 foot plus) breaking just 50 yards from shore.

He has some great works of sunsets and sunrise all-through San Diego, including Borrego Springs, the bays of San Diego and Mission, and lighting strikes over Point Loma.

Leavenworth, WashingtonOther photos, like the one you see on the left, are of Leavenworth, Washington where he currently lives and was used on Leavenworth's Official website.
